MLK Jr.’s Dream Not Yet Achieved, But Still Attainable, Advocates Say


Sixty years after Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his “I Have a Dream” speech, racial justice advocates say that dream has not been achieved. As Black People proceed to face financial, social and systemic racism, these advocates level to social and coverage adjustments that would push the nation nearer to King’s imaginative and prescient.

To begin, political organizer DaMareo Cooper instructed The Hill it’s essential to acknowledge that King’s dream has been misconstrued.
