(NNPA) – Circumstances on the infamous Parchman Jail in Mississippi have “considerably improved” since Jay-Z, a hip-hop star and enterprise mogul, filed a lawsuit demanding higher circumstances for the hundreds of people who find themselves locked up there.

The celebrity’s administration firm, Roc Nation, stated that it will drop its lawsuit in opposition to the state Division of Corrections now that the maximum-security jail for males has been drastically improved.

In a press release, lawyer Jordan Siev, a associate at Reed Smith LLP in New York who works with Roc Nation, stated, “We’re proud of the modifications which were made to this point and the enhancements within the day-to-day lives of the fellows inside.”
